Three members of family shot dead in Nawada

Nawada, Aug 20 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen shot dead three members of a family at Sahpur village under Muffassil police station in the district today.

Police said the gunmen attacked the house of one Mohd. Muslim in the village and fired indiscriminately on the inmates. As a result Muslim, his wife and another member of the family were killed on the spot.

However, the miscreants managed to escape the site.

The villagers had blocked NH 31 for couple of hours to protest the killing.

Meanwhile, police rushed to the spot to pacify the irate mob.

An FIR had been lodged in the concerned police station.

Raids were on to nab the culprits, police added.
