'Nine activists of different militant outfits nabbed'

Imphal, Aug 20: Altogether nine activists of different militant outfits were nabbed in various places in Manipur by the security forces.

The Assam Rifles PRO informed here on Wednesday, Aug 20 that two cadres of People's Liberation Army (PLA) and a rebel of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were apprehended by the troops of 32 Assam Rifles during an operation in Khongman area on Tuesday, Aug 19, adding that they were handed over to police.

In another incident, the 12 Maratha Light Infantry troops nabbed a Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) cadre.

Meanwhile, the troops of 21 Assam Rifles arrested three PREPAK(GS) cadres and one overground worker of the same outfit. They were handed over to the police yesterday, the PRO said.

Furthermore, SSP (Imphal West) L Kailun said the Imphal police commandos and personnel of the 108th Battalion CRPF apprehended a Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) activist from Hiyangthang Bazar at Imphal yesterday.
