NDTV acquires film rights from Planman Motion Pictures
Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) NDTV Imagine Film Company, the film division of NDTV Imagine, has acquired all rights of two movies from Planman Motion Pictures.
The movies include 'I'm 24' and 'Sunglass'. 'I'm 24' is an urban romantic comedy, directed by Saurabh Shukla, its cast include Rajat Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis. The film is set to be released in October.
'Sunglass', a comic fantasy, shot in Bengali and Hindi, has a cast of R Madhavan, Tota Rai Chaudhary, Konkana Sen Sharma, Jaya Bachchan, Naseeruddin Shah and Raima Sen. The film is directed by Rituparno Ghosh and would hit theatres in December.
Confirming the deal, Planman Motion Pictures Chief Executive Officer Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharji said ''The movies will be jointly marketed by Planman and NDTV Imagine...The theatrical trailer and standees of 'I'm 24' will be out within a week.'' NDTV Imagine would distribute the films through a yet-to-be-finalised distribution partner, and is also co-producing a film with NFDC titled 'The White Elephant', directed by Aijaz Khan.
