Narayanan holds talks with Vohra on crisis in J
Srinagar, Aug 20 (UNI) National Security Advisor M K Narayanan today held a detailed meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and other senior officials on the prevailing situation in the state arisen in the wake of Shri Amarnath land row.
Official sources said Mr Narayanan immediately after his arrival here met Mr Vohra at Rajbhavan.
They said top officials of the state administration, Army, police and paramilitary forces were present at the meeting.
Mr Narayanan was given a detailed brief about the free flow of trucks and other vehicles on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway and prevailing situation in Kashmir valley and Jammu.
He was also informed about the security measures taken by the administration to meet the challenge in view of the protests and strike in both the regions of the state.
Sources said he was also briefed on the stock of essential commodities in the valley.
