Mumbai-based photographer offers unique tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) In a unique tribute to the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary, a local photograpgher Anwar Ali H Nanji alias 'Babu' observed a day's silence (Maun Vrat).

Anwar had personally presented potraits and photographs clicked by him to the late Prime Minister.

Speaking to UNI, Anwar said he was missing Rajiv Gandhi very much and has been observing the same ritual since the time he passed away.

He also said he was very close to Rajiv Gandhi and is also known to Ms Sonia Gandhi. He has met Ms Gandhi on a few occasions after Mr Gandhi's death.

He said he never expected anything from them and had never asked any favours from either Rajiv Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi, but added that he only requires their blessings.
