GMR partners Malaysia Airlines to set up MRO in India
New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) GMR Infrastructure Ltd today said its unit GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has signed an agreement with Malaysia Airlines to set up a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre in the country.
The MRO will provide maintenance services on narrow and wide body aircraft at of Hyderabad, a company statement said.
With some 300 aircraft in operations, the Indian aviation market is one of the fastest growing in the world and more than 200 new aircraft will be headed for the country in the next two years, while 2,000 new planes are expected in the next 8 to 10 years, the infrastructure major added.
