Airdropping of food packets among flood victims to begin tomorrow

Patna, Aug 20 (UNI) Airdropping of food packets and other essentials will begin in flood affected areas from tomorrow.

Official sources said here today that a decision to this effect was taken on the directive of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

'' A team of officials had been constituted to monitor the airdropping of food packets and essentials among the flood victims'', sources said adding Helicopters of Indian Air Force would be pressed into service for airdropping of the relief materials.

The monitoring of airdropping would be conducted from Purnea.
