Private bus runs over two, kills motorcycle rider in K'taka

Chitradurga, Aug 19 (UNI) A speeding private bus today knocked down a motorcycle rider and ran over two pedestrians, killing all the three on the spot, near Hosahalli gate about 60 km from here today.

Hosadurga police said the bus driver, while trying to avoid hitting the motorcycle rider, veered to the side of the road and also killed the two pedestrians.

The dead were identified as Chetan Kumar (25), the motorcyclist, Rudraiah (24) and Prakash (24). The bus driver had run away from the spot, police added.
