Noted Punjabi film director, Bhag Singh cremated

Chandigarh, Aug 17 (UNI) Mr Bhag Singh, former Punjab Deputy Director in the PR department and celebrated dramatist, Punjabi film actor-director and writer who breathed his last yesterday was cremated here today.

His grandson, Param lit the pyre.

In a condolence message, Mr Badal said that Mr Bhag Singh was a Punjabi film actor-director who performed his professional duties with utmost dedication, commitment and sincerity. In his death the state has lost a gem and a vacuum has been created which was difficult to be filled.

Mr Badal expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength and courage to them to bear this irreparable loss.

Director Information and Public Relations, Mr Tejveer Singh, placed a wreath on the body of Mr Bhag Singh on behalf of the Chief Minister.

Dr Senu Duggal, Joint Director, Public Relations placed a wreath on behalf of PR Minister Bikram Singh Majithia. Dr Uma Sharma, DPRO, Mohali also laid wreath on behalf of the Information and Public Relations Officers Association.
