Jawans rescue jailor from juvenile prisoners

Rourkela, Aug 18 (UNI) Two jawans sustained injuries while trying to release the jailor of the Juvenile Observation Home here from the clutches of juvenile prisoners today.

Police said aggrieved by the delay in finalisation of their cases, three juvenile prisoners-Kused Singh(12), Chaityana Mahato (17) and Gautam Soin (13) overpowered the jailor and threatened to kill him with a chopper.

The jawans came to the rescue of the jailor and released him sustaining injuries.

While Kused was arrested in a theft case, Chaityana was in custody in connection with a rape case and Gautam was charged with a rioting case.All the three accused were in the juvenile home for more than one and half years.

An FIR has been lodged with the Raghunathpalli police station and the police were investigating the case.
