Rare parrots, black buck new entrants in Mysore zoo
Mysore, Aug 17 (UNI) The century year old Mysore zoo, known for its captive breeding and housing various spices added with a bunch of rate species parrot and a black buck today.
According to executive director of zoo Vijayaranjan Singh, these species had been brought from Ahmedabad zoo under the exchange of animals scheme and suitable arrangements was being made to house them.
"Few more guests like red beaked Alexander Parrot, rose pelican, spoon bill and white buck from the Ahmedabad Zoo are expected shortly," he said.
The Mysore zoo supplied two tigress to the Ahmedabad Zoo under the exchange programme, which was approved by the Central Zoo Authority, he added.
