Celebrations galore as Chiranjeevi announces entry into politics

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 17 (UNI) The entire East Godavari district wore a festive look today with people, mostly youth, celebrating the occasion of Telugu matinee idol Chiranjeevi announcing his entry into politics.

The actor's fans took out processions, held meetings and distributed sweets to celebrate the announcement.

Reports reaching the district headquarters said his supporters and admirers were glued to television sets to watch his maiden press conference. Big screens were erected at every nook and corner of the district to watch him sharing his views on the current political situation in the state.

At all important areas in the town like Ramanaiahpet, Bhangudi, Kalpana centre, Jagannaickpur, Gaigolupadu and Valsapakala, youth gathered in large numbers and celebrated the occasion by bursting crackers and distributing sweets.
