Debt ridden farmer commits suicide
Gulbarga, Aug 16 (UNI) A thirtyfive-year-old debt ridden farmer committed suicide by consuming pesticides in Chincholi taluk today.
The police said that Veerendranaga Shetty had taken crop loan of Rs Four lakhs from the Krishna Gramin Bank.
The Bank officials yesterday seized his tractor as he was not able to pay his loan due to the crop failure. Feeling ashamed the farmer took the extreme step.
