3 held with 1 qntl ganja

Bilaspur, Aug 16 (UNI) Three youth were arrested with more than one quintal ganja in two incidents here, police said today.

Police was keeping a watch on Trilochan alias Arun (36) and Ramesh Vardhan (32), both residents of Orissa's Karlakhedi village.

They were involved in smuggling ganja from their native place to Chhattisgarh.

On a tip-off, police raided their temporary residence at local Avanti Vihar area and seized 1.34 quintal ganja last night.

In another incident, police arrested Vinoba Nagar-resident Vijay Sonkhare alias Jogeshwar alongwith 36 kg ganja and Rs 1.36 lakh in cash was also seized from him.

The estimated value of seized ganja was Rs four lakh, police added.
