Contempt of National Flag charge against madarassa in MP

Barwani, MP, Aug 15 (UNI) A case was registered against a Darul Ulam Madarassa for contempt of National Flag as it unfurled the tricolour with green color at top in this district's Sendhwa town today, police said.

Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Mathur said that on a tip-off from Bajrang Dal and Nagar Satsang Chief Dilip More, police reached the spot and took the photograph of National Flag.

Later, a case was registered against the Darul Ulam people for Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act,1971 Section 2.

No arrest was made so far and the National Flag was hoisted again properly, he added.

Madarassa's Principal Haji Yaqub refused to comment.

Darul Ulam Madarassa was government recognised and 700 students have been studying here. Most of the students had gone to their hometowns following Ramzan holidays.
