Mangalore: 11 killed as School Bus falls into river
Just in: 11 bodies have been recovered. Three are adults. 17 are still missing. Most of them are students. It has been raining in this area for last couple of days. 11 rescued children are taken to near by hospital. The accident took place in the early hours of morning when the driver of the mini bus carrying school children lost control over the vehicle due to heavy water logging on the road and the bus skidded down the slope.
The Karnataka Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh to the family of the dead.

Mangalore, Aug 14: A school bus fell into Phalguni river, near Mangalore on Thursday, Aug 14 morning. The mishap took place at Ulayibettu which is 15 Km away from Mangalore district of Karnataka. Four children are confirmed dead, 25 people are missing. Rescue operations are on. So far seven are taken to near by hospital.
