Prisoner commits suicide in jail

Barh, Aug 14 (UNI) An undertrial prisoner Kainaihaya Mahto, lodged in Barh subdivisional jail, committed suicide today.

Police said the prisoner committed sucide in the toilet of the court lockup when he was taken to the local court for his production in connection with the murder case.

As per the charges the accused had strangulated his wife Rina Devi to death at Sisauni village under Mokameh police station on July 17, 2008.
