Man arrested for killing German Shepherd

Moga, Aug 14 (UNI) A man landed up in jail after he killed a German Shepherd bitch when it tried to attack his pigs.

Bikramjit Singh of Nihalsingh Wala was taking away his herd of pigs recently, when Rajwinder Singh's pet bitch seeing the pigs loitering on the road side tried to attack them. To save his pigs, Bikramjit hit the German Shepherd with a stick he was carrying and she immediately died.

The pet's owner filed a complaint to the police, which arrested Bikramjeet under section 429 of the IPC. Under this section the accused could be punished for a term up to five years or with fine or both.
