Congress leaders arrested on Okhla Barrage
Noida, Aug 14: Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee incharge Digvijay Singh, Congress State president Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Dausa MP Sachin Pilot, MLA Parvez Hashmi and senior Congress leader Ramveer Singh Bhidori were on Thursday, Aug 14 arrested by the Noida police while they were going to meet those injured police-farmer clash over land compensation in Greater Noida.
The leaders were prevented at Okhla Barrage by the Noida police from going towards Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida where the injured have been admitted. Later, the arrested leaders were released.
Police-farmer clash in Greater Noida claimed the lives of four farmers and at least 15 policemen and 45 farmers were grievously injured.
