Edward Goubert remembered

Puducherry, Aug 14 (UNI) Rich tributes were paid to former Puducherry Chief Minister Edward Goubert on his 29th death anniversary here today.

Welfare Minister M Kandasamy, PCC president A V Subramanian, Speaker R Radhakrishnan and D Sivaraj, President of a movement striving for the welfare of the people who opted Indian citizenship at the time of the merger of Puducherry with the Indian Union, were among others, who garlanded the statue of Mr Goubert at the Bharathi park to mark the occasion.

PCC president and office-bearers paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of Mr Goubert at the party office here.
