Cong-NCP subverting legislative procedures for political gain
Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) Shiv Sena leader and party whip Gajanan Kirtikar today alleged that the Congress and NCP MLAs are using and subverting legislative tools for political end.
Speaking to mediapersons at the party's office, Shivalaya, Mr Kirtikar alleged that ''to kill a good programme announced by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Sachin Ahir of NCP had moved a calling attention notice in the Maharashtra assembly and the MLAs of the Congress-NCP pressurized the minister of state Rajesh Tope to grant a stay to the scheme.'' He said this has stopped 'adopt-a-playground' scheme announced by the BMC.
Mr Kirtikar said he had adopted a six acre plot reserved for play ground at Gokuldham in Goregaon, through an NGO Aareye Bhaskar, but the work is partially completed due to the stay brought by the NCP-Congress MLAs, he alleged.
The Shiv Sena leader said the Aareye-Bhaskar has developed a jogging track, with modern design, at the playground which would be inaugurated at the hands of Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackery on August 19.
He said he has taken up the issue of unnecessary stay on the further work at the playground with the Chief Minster.
