Armed Forces express satisfaction with Pay Commission
New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) The Armed Forces today expressed satisfaction at the Pay Commission report, saying that their concerns have been addressed.
They said the report has been received with interest, even though more details were awaited.
Admiral Suresh Mehta, Chairman of the Chief of Staff Committee and Chief of Naval Staff, in a statement said, the increase in MSP and PBOR and compensation for middle-rung officers were particularly heartening.
''Prima facie all the concerns of the Defence Forces appear to have been suitably addressed,'' Admiral Mehta said.
He said the decision to credit arrears with effect from January 1, 2008 was ''most welcome,'' the statement added.
