715 prisoners to get remission

Raipur, Aug 14 (UNI) About 715 prisoners lodged in different jails in Chhattisgarh would be granted remission in their sentences on the occasion of Independence Day.

A notification in this regard was issued by Jail Department today. The remissions ranged from four months to seven days.

Those who imprisoned for life, who had spent 14 years in jail and were eligible for cumulative remission for six months, would be released unconditionally.
