500 MW additional power added to grid by NTPC
Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) Indian power giant, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) successfully synchronised the 500 MW second stage unit of Sipat Super Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh.
This is the second unit that has been commissioned in respect of the Sipat Super Thermal Power Project, slated to have an ultimate capacity of 2,980 MW, the NTPC informed the BSE yesterday.
With the commissioning of this unit, the total installed capacity of the Company has become 29,894 MW.
