Thousands defied curfew in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 13 (UNI) Thousands of people defied curfew restrictions late tonight and took to streets shouting slogans in al most all parts of the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

People come out on streets in the entire down town area where CRPF personnel allegedly damaged windowpanes and ransacked household during the day.

People of these areas alleged that CRPF personnel did not spare mosque and other religious places in the down town.

Similar allegations were also received from Batmaloo, Safakadal, Khanyar, Dalgate, Rambagh and Natipora where windowpanes of hundreds of houses were damaged by the security forces.

Reports of massive protests by the people were also received from Hyderpora, Natipora, Azad Basti, Rambagh, Solina, Khanyar, Khawja Bazar and other places.
