Bangalore, Aug 13 (UNI) Karnataka Sericulture Minister Venkataramanappa today said a delegation of Sericulture Ministers of four states will meet the Prime Minister next month in connection with the problems faced by silk growing farmers.
Mr Venkataramanappa told reporters here that the Sericulture Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Karnataka will constitute the delegation.
At a meeting of Sericulture Ministers of four major silk growing states held last month in Hyderabad, it was decided that delegation would also take up issues pertaining to dumping of silk by China in the country, he said.
Mr Venkataramanappa, who also holds the Small Scale Industries portfolio, said the State Government has released a subsidy of Rs 35 crore of the total of Rs 104 crore arrears.
