Computer skills will be made must for government servants: CM
Bangalore, Aug 13 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said that the government would insist on computer operating knowledge for all new appointments in the State government offices.
Speaking at 'Manthana' an interaction programme of top officials at the IIM-B here, he said the government would provide training for all existing employees who did not have computer knowledge.
He said the government would allot five acres of land in all the district headquarters to private promoters like Wockhardt or Narayana Hrudayalaya to set up super specialty hospitals.
The government would adopt 10 villages in each Assembly segments to convert them as model villages. He also asked the tahasildars to hold 'Janata Darshan' in villages on every second Saturday to know the grievances and solve them expeditiously.
