Cancer children celebrate I-Day, Raksha Bandhan

Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) City-based NGO Helping Hand and Jaslok Hospital today celebrated Independence Day and Rakhsha Bandhan with children afflicted with cancer here.

At least 14 children from 5-17 years of age and varied economic backgrounds spent the day enjoying themselves with patriotic songs, games, sweets and distribution of prizes.

'' We at Jaslok Hospital believe cancer is a disease that can be dealt with. We urge patients and their families to not lose hope,'' Col Masand, CEO, Jaslok Hospital said.
