Senior Hurriyat leader killed in Kashmir firing

Srinagar, Aug 11 (UNI) Senior leader of moderate Hurriyat Conference (HC) Sheikh Abdul Aziz was killed when security forces opened fire on processionists at Baramulla this afternoon.

Official sources said Mr Aziz, chairman of the People's League (PL), and several others were injured when security forces opened fire on a procession, marching towards Uri for crossing the Line of Control (LoC).

Mr Aziz was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital where he was declared brought dead.
