ICC rejects HPCA's plea to organise match in Dharamshala
Shimla, Aug 11 (UNI) International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association's (HPCA) proposal to organise international cricket match in Dharamshala Cricket stadium.
HPCA president Anurag Thakur, while briefing mediapersons here today, said that ICC observers' report has rejected the HPCA demands because there is lack of facilities like internet, hotel and proper roads in Dharamshala.
"Considering this report HPCA has sanctioned Rs 5 crore to install such facilities as soon as possible. He said that work is on and HPCA will once again ask ICC to follow the plea," he said.
He said that HPCA had also released Rs 40 crore to build sports infrastructure in the state.
