HC admits PIL on petrol pumps
Kochi, Aug 11 (UNI) Kerala High Court today admitted a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), challenging the All Kerala Federation of Petroleum Dealers' move to operate pumps only between 0600 hrs and 2000 hrs and keep them closed on Sundays.
The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Mr Justice A K Basheer had also issued notices through a special messenger to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Local Co-ordinator and the Federation President.
The PIL was filed by Janasakthi General Secretary M D Issac, who submitted that the Federation's move was against Kerala Petroleum Product Dealers' licensing order.
The PIL would be taken up for further hearing on August 13.
