15 bar girls arrested for obscenity

Mumbai, Aug 11: Around 15 bar girls were arrested early on Monday, Aug 11 by the city police from a dance bar at Dahisar in North Mumbai for allegedly indulging in obscenity.

Acting on a tip-off that the bar girls were indulging in obscene activity in 'Memsahab' dance bar at Dahisar to lure customers. A team of Dahisar police conducted a raid at arond 0030 hours and nabbed 32 people, including customers, and 15 bar girls, police said on Monday, Aug 11.

A case has been registered against customers, cashier and manager of the bar, while the bar girls were allowed to go home after paying a penalty of Rs 1,200 each, the sources added.

Customers and bar staff would be produced in a Metropolitan court later on Monday, Aug 11.
