Fake railway booking clerk arrested

Betiah, Aug 10 (UNI) Sleuths of Railway vigilance arrested a fake booking clerk from Narkatiaganj railway station under East Central Railway (ECR) late last night.

Rail police sources said here today that acting on a tip-off, a three-member team of railway vigilance raided the Narkatiaganj railway station and arrested Durgesh Kumar who was impersonating as booking clerk in place of Harendra Mishra.

''The arrested impersonator had been handed over to Railway Protection Force (RPF) after interrogation,'' sources said, adding that Mr Mishra had been placed under suspension with immediate effect and departmental proceedings had been initiated against him.
