Film festival to begin on Aug 11
Kannur, Aug 9 (UNI) The fifth national film festival of Kerala, 2008 organised by the state Chalachitra Academy (KSCA) will be held at Thalassery from August 11-14.
KSCA chairman K R Mohanan told newspersons here that 16 films would be screened in the contemporary Indian and Malayalam cinema categories.
The films include Bandit queen (Hindi), Pulijanmam (Mal), Ekaantham (Mal), Ardh Satya(Hindi), Paruthiveeran (Tamil), Ore Kadal (Mal), Paradeshi (Mal), Parinda (Hindi), Dharavi (Hindi), Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho (Hindi), Thaniye (Mal), Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (Hindi), Kalbela Caluctta My love (Bengali), Valu the wild Bull (Marathi), Ek nadi Galpo (Bengali) and Manorama six feet under (Hindi).
Kerala Education Minister M A Baby will inaugurate the festival at a function in which film legend Govind Nihlani would be the chief guest.
