Aizawl, Aug 8 (UNI) The Prism, an NGO, today urged the Mizoram Home Minister for speedy expedition of the file of the Rev Chanchinmawia case to be handed over to the CBI.

Prism sources said the file had been sent to the state home minister by the chief secretary on July 29, but was ''stuck'' in the home minister's office.

While appreciating the state Cabinet's decision to hand over the controversial death case to the country's premier investigation agency, Prism termed the ''hold-up'' of the file as ''disrespect to the Cabinet and the people.'' Earlier, the Prism had filed a PIL in Gauhati High Court for a CBI probe into the death of Reverend Chanchinmawia, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his pastor quarters at Khatla here on October 1, 2007, which the police concluded as a case of suicide.
