Man attempts suicide outside CP office in Nagpur

Nagpur, Aug 8 (UNI) A man was arrested after he attempted suicide due to personal reasons outside the office of Commissioner of Police (CP) here today.

According to police, the man identified as Anil Sugandhchand Dhadiwal (39) was depressed, as his wife had left him and married another man.

Unhappy over this, Anil doused himself with kerosene on the footpath just outside the CP's office, allegedly with the intention of setting himself afire, police said.

However, police personnel on duty there realised Anil's intention and prevented him from immolating himself, police said.
