Maintain communal harmony, peace: Muslim front

Jammu, Aug 8 (UNI) Supporting the ongoing agitation over the Amarnath land row in the winter capital, the Muslim Front Jammu (MFJ) has appealed to people of the Jammu region to maintain communal harmony and age old tradition of brotherhood and peace.

''The incidents have created a fear psychosis among the minority community and has forced some families to migrate to safer places,'' a members of the MFJ said at a joint press conference here yesterday.

''We have already extended full support to the Sangarsh Samiti for its ongoing agitation for the land, while the Samiti leaders should ensure that minority Muslims in Jammu should not be harmed,'' Prof Zahuruddin, a member of the front asserted.

The front members, however, also demanded that economic and transport blockade to the valley and other districts of the region be lifted immediately as people are suffering a lot.
