CPI(M) Worker killed at Lalgarh

Lalgarh, West Midnapur, Aug 7 (UNI) A Branch Committee Member of the CPM, was gunned down this evening in Kantapahari village under Lalgarh Police station.

Fakir Karanga was taking tea in a roadside tea stall when 5 miscreants came in two motorbikes and fired at him from close range.

Two bullets hit his chest and he died on the spot.

No arrest had been made so far. Police suspected Maoists and Jharkhand party activists to be behind the murder.
