Six drug peddlers arrested, four kg ganja recovered

Port Blair, Aug 06 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar police arrested six drug-peddlers and recovered 3 kg 660 grams Ganja from different corners of these far-flung islands during the past one month.

''The miscreants have been apprehended from various remote islands, including Bambooflat, Ograbranj, Hutbay, Mayabunder and Billiground,'' Andaman Superintendent of Police Ashok Chand told UNI today.

Earlier, a few cases of ganja smuggling had also been detected at Havelock, the most favoured tourist destination of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

All cases were registered by Andaman Police under NDPS Act against the accused, the SP added.
