No change in SSLC examination format this year
Bangalore, Aug 6 (UNI) Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister Vishwanath Hegde Kageri today said the state government would not bring in any changes in the format of SSLC examination system during this academic year.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the government was committed to bring in a new system by stream lining the examinations for the 10th standard.
However, it would be done only next year after a detailed discussion with the stake holders on implementation of the recommendations made by the Dr Srikanthaswamy committee in this regard.
Any decision to change the examination format would be taken during December this year, he added.
Stating that the government had enhanced the allocation for mid-day meals in the government schools, he said a total of 70 lakh students were deriving benefit from the scheme.
However, the government was not getting grants from the Centre for providing lunch to high school students, he added.
