Court adjourns hearing on Manoj Kumar's petition till Aug 8
Mumbai, Aug 6 (UNI) A local court today adjourned till August 8, hearing on the petition filed by yesteryear actor-film-Maker Manoj Kumar, seeking a stay on telecast of the movie 'Om Shanti Om', scheduled to be aired on August 10 on Sony entertainment channel.
The matter came up before Additional Session Court Judge R T Mahajan, who fixed August 8 for hearing on the petition.
Mr Kumar had filed a case against Shah Rukh Khan, producer of the film, its director Ms Farah Khan and Sony entertainment channel, seeking deletion of a scene from the film, showing him in poor light. However, the film was released in theatres without deletion of the scene.
Mr Kumar, in his petition, objected to the scene, wherein he was shown to be insulted.
He stated that the scene had been filmed in such a manner, which directly affects and damages his reputation.
The actor prayed to the court that till the final disposal of the suit, Sony entertainment should be restrained from showing the film.
