25 pilgrims injured in 2 mishaps on Tirumala Ghat Road

Tirupati, Aug 6 (UNI) Twenty-five pilgrims were injured, three of them seriously, in two road accidents on Tirupati-Tirumala Ghat Road here last night.

Police here said an APSRTC bus proceeding to Tirumala hit the rear of another RTC bus, which stopped due to a technical snag, near Vinayaka Temple on the Ghat Road,resulting in 17 pilgrims sustaining injuries.

They were admitted to the Government Ruia Hospital in here, police said.

In the second incident, a jeep proceeding to Tirumala hit a parapet wall at 22nd Cross on the Ghat Road injuring eight pilgrims.

They were shifted to Tirumala Aswini Hospital at Tirumala , police added.
