TN CM condoles death of former Tamil University VC

Chennai, Aug 5 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today condoled the death of Thanjavur Tamil University former Vice Chancellor Agathiyalingam and his wife in a road accident yesterday.

In his message here, he expressed profound grief over the sudden death of Prof Agathiyalingam and recalled his speech, hailing him in a function at Kalaivanar Arangam in the city a few days ago.

Mr Karunanidhi recalled his services for the development of Tamil and said his death was an irreparable loss.

The Chief Minister also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
