Sixteen burnt severely in cylinder explosion
Bhagalpur, Aug 5 (UNI) At least sixteen people, including a woman, were severely burnt when a cooking gas cylinder exploded inside a godown near Tilka Manjhi Chowk under the Town police station here today.
Police said the cylinder exploded when the employees of the gas godown were illegally filling up small cyclinders from the bigger ones.
The injured were admitted to the Jawaharlal Medical College Hospital where condition of nine was stated to be serious, police added.
Police have seized ten cooking gas cylinders which were illegally stored in the godown.
An FIR had been lodged at the local police station against Munna Shah, the gas agency owner, who fled away from the spot.
