Vijaya Bank achieves total business of Rs 85,714 cr
Hyderabad, Aug 4 (UNI) The Vijaya Bank has achieved a total business of Rs 85,714 crore at the end of June 2008, setting a new landmark and surging ahead to cross an ambitious target of Rs 100,000 crore of total business by March 2009.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the bank's new ATM at Babukhan Estate here, Bank General Manager (Hyderabad Region) K J Hegde said at present, the Bank had a well-entrenched network of more than 1,050 business outlets across India and adopted the state-of-art technology for rendering better customer service, with online banking facility covering about 94.17 per cent of the Bank's total business.
All the branches of the Bank were proposed to be brought under CBS platform by March-2009, he said.
The Bank had launched a novel savings bank deposit scheme called 'V-GenUth Savings Bank Account' for promoting the habit of saving among children.
Headquartered in Bangalore, Vijaya Bank has 307 ATMs, spread across all the states.
