Pondy CM Rangasamy celebrates B'day

Puducherry, Aug 4: Chief Minister N Rangasamy who turned 59 today celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake at his residence.

Cut-outs,posters and banners were put up in the city to mark the occasion.

Puducherry Lt Governor Govind Singh Gurjar, DMK MLAs led by State Convenor R V Janakiraman, PMK MLAs led by State Secretary and Parliamentary Party Leader M Ramadass and senior officials of the territorial administration were among those who greeted Mr Rangasamy.

Surprisingly, none of his Cabinet collegues turned up to greet the Chief Minister presumably due to the 'tussle' with him and sent their private secretaries to greet him instead. Speaker Radhakrishnan is away in Brazil.
