K'taka Legislative Council, CM condole MP's death

Bangalore, Aug 4 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today condoled the death of Mr D C Srikanthappa, BJP leader and sitting Lok Sabha member from Chikmagalur.

The Chief Minister, in his condolence message, said Mr Srikanthappa was a true leader of the people and this was the reason he was elected from Chikmagalur three times in a row.

Meanwhile, the State Legislative Assembly also paid homage to the departed leader, who was known for his simplicity.

A resolution to this effect was adopted in the House.

Mr Yeddyurappa would attend the last rites tomorrow.
