HOC to give Rs one crore to gold medalists at Beijing

Chandigarh, Aug 4 (UNI) Haryana Olympic Association president Abhey Singh Chautala today announced a lucrative cash incentive of Rs one crore to any Haryana player who wins gold medal in the Beijing Olympics.

Mr Chautala said that silver medalists from Haryana would be given a cash award of Rs 50 lakh each by the Association.

The bronze medalists would be give by Rs 25 lakh each.

The Haryana government had earlier announced to give Rs two crore to gold medal winners (of the state) at the Olympics.
