Court dismisses Jain's petition against Sherawat
Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) A local court today dismissed a petition filed against Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat and two others for an alleged 'obscene' performance on December 31, 2006 in a five star hotel in a western suburb of the city.
Pronouncing the order on the issuance of process here today, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate G R Wankhade said there is no substance in the evidence submitted by complainant Vinod Jain, against Ms Sherawat and others, to issue process for the investigation.
Mr Jain had filed a case against Ms Sherawat's allegedly obscene performance on the New Year's eve, on the basis of a television footage of her performance. He had stated in the complaint that the actress was wearing obscene clothes and dancing in a very offensive manner.
