Vadodara multiplex gets bomb threat through SMS
Vadodara, Aug 3 (UNI) The city police swung into action after an owner of a Multiplex here received an SMS, threatening to blow it up today.
It turned out to be a hoax after a thorough check of the PVR multiplex in Fatehgunj area this morning but police was hopeful of apprehending the mischief-monger this time.
Talking to UNI, Fatehgunj police station inspector J R Desai said an investigation had already begun and the culprit, who had sent the threatening SMS to the multiplex manager, was expected to be arrested soon.
Top police sources said this was the first time since the July 26 serial blasts in Ahmedabad that a SMS had been sent, targetting a multiplex in the city.
When contacted, PVR sources did confirm that the threat SMS was received by its manager at around 11OO hrs but none of the shows scheduled for the day had been cancelled. 'We have taken all possible security measures for smooth running of the shows', the sources said.
